The Annual Fund makes the difference between a good education and an extraordinary one, ensuring that every student realizes our mission to become both academically successful and grounded. It is CDS’ top fundraising priority and supports the annual operating budget. Your donation will have an immediate impact on the educational journey of every student at CDS.

CDS, like most independent schools, intentionally sets tuition below the full cost of an education to keep the school more affordable to a wider range of families. Tuition covers roughly 85% of our operating budget: we rely on the Annual Fund to help cover the rest. 

A Community of Support
While every gift is a personal decision, we encourage families to be as generous as possible. Gifts range from under $1,000 to over $25,000. While leadership gifts of $5,000 are critical to the financial stability of the school, gifts of all amounts make a lasting impact on our students. Our goal is 100% family participation, which visibly demonstrates our community’s dedication to the school and provides inspiration to other funders.
